COVID-19 Work Impact Survey

laptop-in-empty-roomIn the last several weeks, life has changed profoundly for millions of people across Canada and around the world. These are challenging times. People are experiencing changes in both how they live and work. Many of us are facing employment uncertainty, working the front lines without breaks and others are now working from home, either alone or with their family by their side. At the same time, we are all concerned about the health of our family, friends and communities.

As a firm focused on health care research, we have designed a survey tool intended to take a snapshot in time of what is happening to us from both a changing work environment and mental health standpoint. The tool is available for free for all organisations in Canada to use.

If you would like to use the survey tool, please contact our survey administrator who will send you a dedicated survey link. This will enable you to distribute the survey to your staff and keep your data together. We will send all of your organisation’s data back to you – at no charge. You can also request a demo link that will allow you to review the questions prior to making a decision.

To get access to the survey or request a demo, please contact our survey administrator. Please include COVID 19 Survey in the subject line and clearly state the organisation that you are requesting the survey for in the body of the email. Due to a large volume of requests, it may take up to 2 days for you to receive a dedicated link for your organisation.

How can I use this information?

  • Information from the survey will provide you with insight into how your staff are working, challenges they are facing, what is working well for them and how they are feeling. As our landscape shifts this can provide valuable knowledge that will allow you to make decisions relating to how you can support your staff and innovate post COVID-19.


Where will my data be stored?

  • Your data will be securely stored in Canada.


Do I own my organisation’s data?

  • Yes. You own your organisation’s data. We ask that you share your organisation’s data with us so that we can analyse it alongside data from other organisations across Canada. Your data will not be used by us in a way that identifies your organisation or your individual staff members.


Will my organisation’s data be shared with others?

  • Your organisation’s data will be analysed along with all other data collected and used to publicly describe what is happening in Canada. Your data will not be used by us in a way that identifies your organisation or your individual staff members. You can decide to pull your organisation’s data from the overall data set or have it deleted altogether. If you would like to pull your organisation’s data from the overall data set, please contact our survey administrator and we would be happy to do that.


Will data be used in a way that could identify my organisation or staff?

  • No. Your data will not be used by us in any way that identifies your organisation or your individual staff members.


Can I decide to opt out and have my organisations data deleted?

  • Yes. You can decide to pull your data from the overall data set or have it deleted altogether. If you would like to pull your organisation’s data from the overall data set, please contact our survey administrator.


Is there any cost to me to receive my organisation’s data?

  • No. We will provide you with a survey link to collect your information. We will return the raw data to you in an Excel spreadsheet.


Will you analyse our data for us?

  • We will provide you with your organisation’s raw data. If you are unable to analyse the data, you can choose to have us or another firm do that for you. There may be a cost involved.


Can I change questions in the survey tool?

  • No, unfortunately you will not be able to change questions on the survey. We welcome suggestions that you think would make the survey better in the future.


Can I share my dedicated link outside of my organisation?

  • Technically you can. However, this will mean that your information will not reflect your organisation and will make it less useful to you. We recommend that a representative from each individual organisation connect with our survey administrator to get their own dedicated link and survey results.


Is there a way to get support if the survey tool is not working?

  • Yes. For technical support or more information about the survey, please email our survey administrator.
