Laurence Calce

Research Assistant

Laurence has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and International Commerce from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). During her time at UQAM, she worked as a teaching assistant, participated in Model United Nations and was introduced to the field of research during a role as a research assistant for an HR consulting firm.

In 2020, Laurence had the opportunity to work in a long-term care home to support providers and patients during the COVID-19 pandemic which began her interest and devotion to working in the healthcare field. This experience led her to pursue new endeavors in Vancouver where she worked as a project coordinator implementing programming to improve the accessibility of health services in French in BC. In this role, she planned and implemented activities to raise awareness within BC’s Francophone community about the prevention of dementia.

Laurence joined our team in 2023 and is supporting the evaluation of several programs that support healthcare access for Francophones in BC as well as primary care initiatives across the province.

In her free time, she enjoys walking her house dog, Millie, hosting dinners with friends, playing board games and cycling in the city.
