Evaluation Workshop

EvalWorkshop

Information drives decision making and there is no better information than evaluation information. Whether you want to make evidence based management decisions, report to funders, engage new funders,  or create compelling communication or marketing tools, evaluation information is essential. Evaluation can help you tell your story of what you have accomplished, how you have done it and where your opportunities are for moving forward or growing.

In this workshop we will walk you through the basics. We will discuss different types of evaluations from formative to summative as well as approaches and methods. You will learn some of the essentials from how to design and implement a basic plan to understanding how you can use evaluation information in your organisation.

Utilising an interactive real world approach we will move from developing evaluation objectives and questions to  identifying stakeholder as well as data collection methods. We will finish off with strategies for presenting evaluation information in an engaging way.

Designed for government and non-government organizations, development agencies and private companies as well as grant managers, independent contractors and students, our one-day, interactive workshop allows participants to learn from professional evaluators with more than 20 years’ experience in the field.

In this workshop you learn about:

  • What evaluation is and how you can use evaluation information to drive evidence based decisions as well as inform the development of communication and marketing tools for your organisation
  • Types of evaluations and how to decide what will best meet your needs
  • The basics of identifying evaluation objectives and questions and developing a workable plan
  • Identifying what data collection methods will best meet your needs (both from an information and budget standpoint) and how to develop them
  • Effectively communicate evaluation findings.
