Dragana Misita

Research and Evaluation Analyst

Dragana is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Masters degree in Human Nutrition and a Bachelor of Nutrition and Food Science with a specialization in Dietetics.

Prior to joining the R&A team, Dragana worked on several multidisciplinary research teams that primarily supported optimal dietary intake and the overall health of diverse groups of women and men across Alberta during preconception and pregnancy. Her experiences working in academia shaped and fostered her interest in community-based participatory research, promoting health equity, and supporting other healthcare providers in optimizing their practice. Dragana also continues to lead “Healthy Conversation Skills” workshops, training care providers across Canada in communication strategies that promote sustainable behaviour change.

Currently, Dragana is supporting the evaluation of several primary health care initiatives across the Province. She is passionate about promoting positive and meaningful change using research and evaluation.

As a new Vancouverite, Dragana is savouring every second she gets to spend by the water, taking plenty of rainy walks, and exploring the city's food and thrift scenes.
